Parents are joining forces across the country
In recent weeks successful meetings have been held as far apart as Mangawhai Heads, Wanaka, and Winton where parents have raised their voices about the Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) curriculum and have formed groups to continue to challenge the curriculum both locally and nationally.
A private Facebook group, Parents Against Gender Education New Zealand, set up only a few weeks ago, already has over 1,000 members. https://www.facebook.com/groups/654227179675085

Politicians who know humans can’t change sex
Resist Gender Education is a non-partisan group that challenges ALL political parties to listen to and address the serious concerns raised by parents about the teaching of gender ideology in our schools.
THIS CONTENT HAS BEEN REMOVED AFTER A COMPLAINT WAS MADE TO THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION. The Commission formed a preliminary view that our report met the criteria for election advertising but has decided not to pursue the matter further in response to our offer to remove this section from public view during the election period.
Nationwide survey shows growing rejection of gender ideology
A new poll has found that there is increasing opposition to gender ideology being taught to young children. The poll has also found support for a ban on the use of ‘gender affirmation’ treatment for under-18s, and growing support for sports to be based on biological sex, not gender identity.
In the poll of 1,000 New Zealanders commissioned by Family First and surveyed by Curia Market Research, respondents were asked a number of questions around gender ideology and the Relationship and Sexuality curriculum being taught in primary, intermediate and secondary schools.
Gender ideology in primary schools
Only 10% think primary age children should be taught they can choose their gender and that it can be changed through hormone treatment and surgery if they want it to be, while 76% say they shouldn’t. 14% are unsure or refused to respond.
Ban on puberty blockers and other ‘gender affirmation’ treatment
The respondents were also asked whether they would support or oppose a ban on puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and physical sex-change surgeries for children under the age of 18 who identify as transgender.
54% support a ban on ‘gender affirmation’ treatment for under 18s and just 27% disagree. 19% were unsure.
Ask the candidates to commit to change
Candidate meetings for the general election are beginning and many politicians are dodging questions about gender ideology in schools by saying it’s not the government’s business and is something that should be sorted out between parents and schools. This is a politically expedient manoeuvre that protects the politicians while allowing the Relationships and Sexuality Education curriculum to continue causing harm in our schools.
Go to as many candidate meetings as you can and ask very specific questions:
Will you withdraw the Relationships and Sexuality Guidelines that teach children incorrectly that there are three sexes, that sex is assigned at birth and is not binary and that humans can change their sex?
Will you withdraw the Ministry of Education advice to schools that they should embed sexuality education in all subject areas as this thwarts the right of parents to opt out their children from content they disagree with?
Will you ensure that all children receive science lessons that provide correct biological facts about sex, and stop them being taught incorrectly that there are multiple gender identities that are more significant than their sex?
Will you commit to undertake a full review of the Relationships and Sexuality curriculum that involves parental viewpoints and not just those of gender identity activists?
Preferred Pronouns - a poll and a petition
Another nationwide poll has found significant opposition to a decision which resulted in a teacher losing his teaching licence for refusing to recognise a student’s gender ‘identity’ and using the students preferred pronouns.
A high school maths teacher had his teaching registration cancelled after he refused to use the preferred pronouns and name for a 14-year-old student who was in the process of ‘transitioning’ from a biological girl to a boy.
In the poll of 1,000 New Zealanders commissioned by Family First NZ and carried out by Curia Market Research, respondents were asked “Should a teacher lose their teaching licence for misgendering a trans student (refusing to use their preferred pronoun or recognise their gender identity)?”
Only 16% of respondents said yes. Two in three Kiwis (65%) said the teacher shouldn’t lose their licence, and a further 19% were unsure.
At the time of the teacher’s deregistration, RGE released a press statement saying it was unwarranted and stating, “Asking other students and teachers to use opposite sex or neo pronouns is confusing for those with language or learning difficulties and is discriminatory to those who do not believe people can change sex by wishful thinking.”
The Free Speech Union pronouns petition
Over 5,000 people have already signed a petition sponsored by the Free Speech Union that calls on the Teaching Council to maintain teacher discretion regarding the use of preferred pronouns.
“A one-size-fits-all approach is inappropriate for sensitive questions related to identity, and those closest to the students are best placed to navigate this journey with them,” says Jonathan Ayling, Chief Executive of the Free Speech Union.
"To create a blanket rule (as activists are calling for) that requires teachers to always use a child's preferred pronoun leaves no room for informed conversations and nuance. There will be cases where it's appropriate and others where it's not.”

We should organize society, our public school systems and job training programs, around the concept of collective ownership instead of private businesses.
REMOVE MONEY, REMOVE CORRUPTION
If every worker got in exchange for their professional careers everything that they needed to have a happy, balanced life in a safe and healthy world governed by fair laws and modern practices, then our use of science and ethics to generate daily goods and services, as basic human entitlements, will have fulfilled the purpose of socialism: to ensure “universal protections for all by all” without using money anymore or national currencies to uphold private capital, maintain structural wealth, or support banks and financing and other profit-making activities.
